| ...But it is accepted as it contributed towards to Featherstone fairytale.
Why should we fall victim to it?
I hope the club put their views across. It was ridiculous.

| I agree but unfortunately we are powerless, nothing can be dne about it. Just glad our class showed through and we won in the end. In the quarters and that's all that matters

| He was poor for both teams and Fev had some pretty shocking decisions of their own. He was certainly poor, but poor for both teams imo.

| He certainly let a lot of messing around at the ruck go on - but it made for a great game so no complaints. Would rather have that then a 60-0.

| Did make a good game with the bad refereeing ,But Fev only had 1 penalty in the 2nd half after 20 minutes. at 26-16 fev should of had a scrum after Tomkin's knocked on,part and parcel of the game i'm afraid.Silverwood See's what he want

When you say fev only had 1 penalty in the 2nd half after twenty minutes what are you trying to say? Are they entitled to more? Maybe Wigan just didn't do anything to give away more than 1 penalty then. Agree with the Sam knock on that should have been given but it hardly evens up the way the game was rEffed in a Wigan POV.

| Was a poor ref display for both teams - totally inconsistent, one minute penalising for holding down then next letting it go - same for offsides. Neither team knew where they were with the ref.
Same old I'm afraid.

Basically Featherstone got two tries that never were, and Wigan had a perfectly good try ruled out because of that good old elastic obstruction rule, which seems to be applicable at the referee's discretion these days. So that evens up the Sam knock-on to some tune.
At the end of the day, I will never trust Silverwood again for allowing Hull KR another play-the-ball after the hooter had gone at the DW - and basically gifting them a vital try. That was one of the most suspicious pieces of refereeing I've ever seen, and his limp-wristed explanation afterwards, that he couldn't hear the hooter - how strange, the only man in 15,000 people - added insult to injury.
I'll freely admit that my heart sank when I saw it was him last night. I thought if there's any referee who'll be ready and willing to try and make this more of a contest, it'll be him. That said, Featherstone performed bravely, better than several SL teams we've played this season, and Wigan allowed themselves to be drawn into a sluggish forward battle. For me, it ultimately wasn't Silverwood's fault that it was a close-run thing.

| It was nothing that wasn't expected but still it didn't make it any easier to cope with when stood pulling my hair out behind the sticks.
Silverwood smug face when he went to the screen for Leuluai's try infront of where I was stood will live long in the memory. His ability as a referee has fallen to bits this season imo. He was probably the best referee in the league over the past couple of years but he really seems to have lost the plot this year and is totally inconsistant.

| Disgraceful performance from Silverwood last night for both teams, but the way in which he tried to keep Featherstone in the game early on was laughable.
The quick decision to give a drop out after it was clear to see Raynor never grounded the ball was a joke.
Also why wasn't the 2 on 1 ball steal for Featherstone's try brought back?

Because he didn't see it and the video ref can no longer go back more than one tackle, If he could Wigans try in the second half would have been rules out when he ridiculously gave back to 1 for a Wigan knock on.
Silverwood got lots wrong for both teams, But most Wigan tries came after penalties which were given late in the tackle count.
The amount of time the ref relieved the pressure for Wigan was unbelievable. Then missing blatant knock ons.
As for Leuluai's try. The ball clearly left his hand in mid air, but he grounded it perfectly. I have no idea what the ruling on that is supposed to be these days lol. I remember years ago a rule where the ball didn't have to touch the floor to be a knock forwards

| Last nights Silerwood performance surpassed the Catalan game. He and both linesmen were a disgrace. I thought he was the best ref in the game now I think he's on a par with Ganson & the Frog.

| Referees make mistakes, at the end of the day we gave your much vaunted team a pretty good match and could have quite easily beat a lot of SL teams with that level of performance , we may have a little ground and be un fashionable but we are about and the RFL may start to take notice of us. Credit to your supporters who stayed behind o applaud our part timers off the field

| Agree re his ref performances this year. Something pretty dramatic has changed from last season as I would have said he was our best referee of the last couple of years until this season - Wonder if its got anything to do with the issues following his disciplinary last year for the incident at huddersfield?
He was definately influenced by the romance of the cup last night and was definately making some decisions with his heart and not his head IMO - Shouldnt happen with refs but then I guess it is human nature - Feel the video referee also seemed to be the same.
All in all though it made for a good game and kept the romance of the cup- better than us turning up and drubbing them IMO - I would have been fumming if some of those decisions had influenced the result!
As its turned out cant be too concerned because there was no harm done and many of those fans will remember last night for many a year....it was clear to see how proud they were coming off the ground last night and so they should have been - they were brilliant.
Just another example of awful refereeing but then again we've seen that again on the TV today - Stuart Cummings is the problem - once of the worst refs for 20years somehow got the top job and then we're surprised by the standard of refereeing - Only in RL!!!
