It's a team game and, in modern sport, you need the vast majority of your team to play well to win games. At the moment we have too many players off the boil and consequently we are losing tight games. I don't know what is wrong with Bevan but, on the whole, he has been pretty average this season by his own high standards. However, I would want him in my team every day of the week. Come the business end of the season I expect him to be firing. If we play at our best we are the best, simples.
Peet has said French felt his calf again during the Wakey game and has had scans since. He may miss a few weeks, so that probably explains an off night for him, certainly in terms of testing the line.
I don't know enough about Farrimond just yet but I'm not convinced him and Smith are a natural fit. A Farrimond/French partnership would be interesting to see.
