| I can't think of the last time they really put together a performance that we know they're capable of. Hopefully this is just a mid-season lull and they peak for the business end.

| Well done to them for finding a way to win. Out enthused for large parts and we were so lateral with our attack. Plus Smith really overdid the flat pass to Nsemba. Fingers crossed no serious issue with French.
We need to find a boost from somewhere - Wakefield will take us next week if not.

| exiled Warrior:
Undeserved 2 points there, second half was not much better, so many bad passes, poor defensive reads and efforts and a genral lack of real front up drive - our forwards lloked half-d at times Thompson is a big miss. We look so far off the pace at present.
Hopefully not too many knocks from that but suspect Keighran maybe be injured he looked to pick up a knock first half and at times was out on the wing second half. Hopefully nothing serious.
So is Walters. Our forwards were very poor both in defence and attack. I suspect Thompson will play next week.

I believe French was withdrawn due to a tight calf muscle. Hopefully, he will be good to go next week.

| Today's game convinced me even more we need a new back rower and a new prop for next year.

As sad as it is to say, I think today showed that Farrell is regressing at an alarming rate IMO 2nd row recruitment is a MUST for next year

| Another win by the champions. Didnt play well but a champion team finds a way to win which of course they did.

Exactly and we need a veteran prop that still has a good few seasons in him over another young prospect, we have not replaced Cooper or Isa like for like and it shows, losing experience and replacing with youngsters does not work, eventually it will go tits up

| None of them are "as" experienced as Cooper, but Bryne, Dupree, and Walters have got a number of seasons under their belt and have played in big games. Heck, even Harvie Hill is in his 3rd top flight campaign now and has played in big games. They're not complete rookies.
You couldn't get more experienced than Liam Farrell and he hasn't really done it this season at all, but we're short in that area so he's played week in, week out.

| We look for reasons every season as to why we have this mid season lull but it's just a case of motivation and a lack of excitement in this middle phase IMO and not that we massively need signings in any particular position (we do need either a prop or a second rower for next season IMO, depending on what we do with Walters).
If anything, things are probably going better then usual at the moment, because unlike in other seasons, we've yet to lose in this period. That will change on Friday though unless there is a turnaround in approach.
