| wiggn2:We had also only received 2 penalties until about the 75th minute and those 2 were Cade Cust being offside from a Hull kick and Borough pushing our tackler with the ball. (both inside our own 10m btw) So for 75 minutes Hull had literal perfect discipline in defence? Crazy to think. We then got 2 more penalties in the last 5 minutes, one for holding down on Hill and then the late hit on Smith. ironically i've just been reading something about Hull (think it was serious about rugby league) on facebook, and their issues are discipline and tackling. It basically highlighted the issue that last year when they were poor, they were the most penalised / cards and worst for missed tackles. The article praises the turn around under Cartwright, which we can all see and given they've lost to Wigan (*2) and KR in the league is not the issue. It points out the number of penalties conceded and also missed tackles (49 v Wigan at weekend). The irony is, they were as good as squeaky clean v Wigan with only 4 conceded, another anomaly in the list of games where Wigan have won but been on the wrong end of the penalty count

I'm pretty sure we won the Hudds penalty count 2-1 or 3-1, but the stats page on the SL site pulled through 0 penalties for each side or something.

I think it's that game which causes the discrepancy when you tally up what we've had. I had 22 after last week but the report in the press had 26. Stats are messed up for that game because it's not pulled any metres through either. The good thing is that since Peet spoke out, we've had two games where we've been given 4 penalties and a couple of six agains (huge numbers for us).The bad news is that miraculously our discipline has gone twice as bad as well and we've given away 17 in 2 games! It isn't changing anytime soon, so they'll just have to continue dealing with it.

| Well obviously, if players are inside the 10, they'll get pinged for it. Unless it could be demonstrated that opposition sides are doing the same, and not getting penalised.

| Absolute comedy gold article by Aaron Bower today on Love Rugby League, about who gets the most penalties and in particular, who gets the most at home and his summing up is that HKR, Hull and Leeds get the most penalties at home because they're the fittest teams...ha ha. It's nothing to do with them having supporters who get stuck in to the refs for 80 minutes solid...honest!!
Goes without saying that Wigan are bottom (probably because all the players are unfit puddings).

| Rumours around that Catalans didn't get a penalty or six again during the 80 mins. The club that the RFL didn't want at Wembley doesn't get a pen in 80 mins, surely not!
It's so blatant they're doing it so everyone will notice.

They got one penalty for a kick out on the full but nothing else. I can never believe the refs are under instructions or that they're corrupt but what I will say is that I've never known a stranger time in Rugby League in terms of decisions we're seeing, how lopsided penalty counts are, how often they're going to the VR for decisions and then how long they are taking. I personally wouldn't put pressure on the refs individually but Phil Bentham should be under a huge microscope at the minute.
