Honestly, it makes an absolute mockery of the sport. I'd happily see Salford kicked out of the league. If someone has bought them, let them start in the Champ.

I'm surprised at how angry I am at that farce tonight. Both Salford and the RFL should hang their heads in shame - a totally avoidable embarrassment after a really promising start to the season.

No one to blame but Salford. They’ve already had half a million up front and have thrown their toys out of the pram purely because the RFL are conducting due diligence on a new owner. For all intents and purposes he could be another Koukash. No reason why they couldn’t field the same team as last week which would’ve been competitive. Instead they threw in a bunch of kids and hung them out to dry

Beaumont has said something similar and I wouldn't be against all of the other clubs speaking out as well. Rowley claiming he didn't want to pick first teamers because they hadn't yet met the reserve players was ridiculous.

For some reason I can’t quote but I agree, the explanation he gave for not selecting the already registered first team players made no sense whatsoever. Seems pretty obvious to me he didn’t want to say on national tv that they’d done it as a form of protest as by that point they’d obviously seen that they had zero support from any of the other clubs or fans including their own so have had to backtrack and make excuses instead

On another note is it just me or is this site becoming completely unusable at this point? Can’t even click into threads half the time

Yes the site appears to have issues.

I spend more time closing adverts down than clicking in threads.

Shame what’s happened to it, more and more clubs getting their own forums because this place sucks so much which is a shame. Always thought it was great to have all the clubs’ boards in one place. Everyone gonna be retreating to their echo chambers instead!

It’s been dead for about 10 years. There are so many better places to discuss rugby league than rlfans
