Justin Carney transgressed at Cas. He was a very valuable player on a 5 year contract but he broke the code of conduct that Powell had insisted all his players adhered to. He had to go despite the protestations from the fans.
Very similar at Shudds, Ferres broke Andersons code and Leeds got him for nothing as Anderson was worried if he kept him it would set a precedent.
It would seem that Wanes code of conduct is much more lenient than other clubs especially if it is a valuable player. Considering some on here claim he has previous just what does he have to do to get kicked out of the club?'"

absolute rubbish - you have a dalliance with a team mates wife the team turns against you and were doing this . Bateman and co had a beer too many a fight broke out - wake up with a sore head and 10k lighter kissed and made up all over
Of course it's not beyond the bounds of possibility that some one may *know* what happened. But even if that is so, they'd be wise to keep it to themselves, I think.
As for the polis, I don't think that a lack of action from them necessarily means that nothing 'serious' has happened; it could well be a case of "he said, she said", with little chance of a successful prosecution in court.

Without speculating on this particular case - what often happens, especially with drink related offences, is the "victim" tells the police he/she does not wish to press charges and does not want to provide a statement. Police then decide to look at alternative cases more worthy of their time

unless a criminal act (violence) has occurred then they must act themselves
