not convinced by tomkins at all. i think he has been given more of a chance than others purely because his name is tomkins. when watching him i just feel like any other player could probably do exactly the same job. All he literally does is pass and tackle. he rarely creates anything!

I was impressed by him this week and definately ahead in the pecking order over Powell as back up to MM. Powell's distribution off the floor was poor agaoinst Hudds, taking a step before passing most of the time, and not in a way to draw the marker. Logan is off the floor first time and accurate with it. Not in ths same league as MM but definately capable perform to decent standard so MM can be spelled or rotated.

I'm always wary of criticising young front rowers. They often need more time to develop. IMO he's probably where MM was at his age. We'll have to wait and see if he keeps improving.
