The Communist Cap - dragging down success and aspiration to the levels of those who cba.: |
|
| 1. Do we have a "Plan B"? Even a slight variation of "Plan A" might be useful. You do realise that most of the top teams have worked out our one move don't you?
2. You do realise that we won the CC on the back of the easiest route in a long time? It was not on account of our superior tactics so we can't rely on our record of rising to the "Big Game". I dread to think what the result would have been had we played Warrington.
3. Why do you insist on picking the same half backs? They are garbage. Surely putting a youngster in there would not be a "risk", more an enforced choice?
4. Why oh why do we not have a back on the bench? All it takes is one injury and our entire back threat is nullified. At Wembley we were lucky in that it happend with 15 mins to go, last night, not so. Do you honestly think that putting Liam Farrell in a back line is acceptable or beneficial? Absolute madness.
5. Can you explain why you are "not too concerned about our form" when a team that was as good as you could have picked, clearly giving 100% were very very ordinary last night? What do you think is going to change in 7 days?
I like Wane as a person, I like the way he can seemingly galvanise a team, I really hope he can be a success, but I do worry about some of his tactics.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

Agree totally, and they will, just going to have to expect the occasional battering... Peacock is quite astounding at the moment.

This is so true. We have been crying out for years for a couple of good, mature props who take no nonsense. Taylor, Dudson et al all have potential but arent starting props who will dominate the opposition and get you off on a good foot, yet anyway. For all the merits of Hansen and Farrell I am still not convinced about them as a 80 min 2nd row combination either, they are both too similar and lack punch and bite for me.

Peacock is a very very good pro.
Leeds are lucky to have had him for the last few seasons.

In the mid 2000s there were 3 outstanding British props available - Morley, Peacock and Fielden. We have suffered greatly from not having someone of the others' quality for a number of years, other than a short cameo from Lima.
