I thought the Council's choice of grey granite from China was spot on as an expression of their neo-communist ideals and complete lack of imagination or sympathy for ordinary people who would really like a pleasant town centre, free from drunks, druggies, scousers on the make and miserable grey granite that looks dirty the minute someone spits on it (which they do, frequently).
