| Quote kpw="kpw"I know this will get some negative responses, but i'll say it anyway.
This is a no win situation for the clubs/RFL.
if they charge money for tickets, people complain.
if they don't, where does the prize money come from.
if we include play-off games in season ticket prices then these prices will have to go up resulting in people complaining if their club doesn't have a home play-off game.
[size=150If the clubs/RFL sell tickets at discounted rates, people will see the play-offs as a minor competition[/size, after all, tickets for those games cost less than a regular league game.
I've seen people saying they can't afford play-off tickets because season tickets will be on sale soon... what does that have to do with anything? fans will have until november/december to buy their existing seats and until the end of december to buy season tickets at discounted prices. it's not as though people need to buy them the moment they go on sale.
To be honest, even if we get a solution everyone is happy with regarding play-off tickets, people will complain that their season ticket doesn't get them free cup tickets, or free tickets for internationals, or free tickets for away games. people will always moan, and at the moment, i don't see why'"
I doubt it!! The game was seen and will again be seen as a no mark minority sport due to the shocking attendances in the playoffs. If last weeks game had been priced at £10/£5 there would have been 20K on.
The thing is the RFL dont get it....2 years ago we couldnt sell out the DW for an Eng/Oz game and guess what it was the £40 seats not took up. We couldnt sell out the DW for the WCC in Feb due to the idiotic pricing structure.

Direct debit offers on Wembley, Wire away and potentially 4 play-off games?
I wasn't referring to the paying of ST directly, I was meaning the no of games not included on ST since our trip to Brent

No problem with the play off games being extra to season ticket. Just cant understand why there are so many games extra to season ticket games in the last 2 months of the season all that are on tele and all top price. Surely the club and RFL will realise that it will result in reduced crowds!
You must have it growing on trees in your garden, unfortunately I dont!

It's definitely not growing on trees in my garden (although i wish it was).
I take your point about there being a lot of games at the end of the season that aren't covered by the season ticket, but if the problem there is them being close together, then moving the cup games to earlier in the season would be a solution, but come the end of the season you would have still spent the same amount of money overall which begs the question if you know there are expensive games at the end of the season why not save some money earlier in the season so you can afford the late season games?
as for a comment earlier from someone about the RFL's prices preventing a sell out in the world club challenge, those same prices didn't prevent over 35k (10k more than the capacity of the dw) turning up at elland road in previous years.

if that is the case, how do you explain our highest average attendance since accurate records began as well as record sales of season tickets (the single biggest cost of the rugby season)?

| Perhaps the RFL think that Rugby League enthusiasts might, just might mind you, would love the prospect of attending more games? what you gonna do otherwise?
I cannot believe that folk are not fighting to get to the DW tomorrow for what could be, at worst, Maguire's last game, and certainly Warriors last home game. COME ON!! MAKE AN EFFORT IT'S ONLY GONNA HAPPEN ONCE!!
