Maybe today but then after us having an intense 6 weeks and wire having rest after rest maybe we should have been. They took advantage of a Wigan sides errors and silly penalties as well as getting a fair portion of luck and from our point of view they didn't really show anything to make us more nervy about them then we were before.
Wire are class as are Wigan and one of the 2 sides will win the Grand final. I'm happy to be in a 50/50 shoot out and believe me it's that equal.'"
people have talked about this 'cup hangover' for a few seasons... we at wire have certainly used it over the last few seasons as a bit of an excuse.
today showed that there is a little truth in it.... we had 2 weeks to prepare and you won the cup at wembley last week.
even though we had a few key players missing, we still did a job on you....you looked flat and lethargic for large portions of today's game.... we all know that should the GF be wire v wigan it will be alot closer than today. |
