Can any one tell me about a player called Mick dean. Apparently he signed from Leigh around 1990.

He was, signed pro from St Judes not sure if he's still involved though. He was signed to add some experience to the 'A' team around the time, as was Steve Frost a centre (might have been a few years earlier though), also from Judes. Both very good amateur players.

That doesn't narrow it down much.

Mick Dean played in the 2nd Div Championship final at Old Trafford for Salford against Halifax, it was the early 90s the big match was Hull v Widnes, Shane Hanson (Harrisons dad) was in Salfords team along with a few ex Wiganers. Salford won

Four months between first and last games, played two, won two, had a 50% try scoring record and never played again. By god, the coaches were harsh in them days!!
