MOM awards are very arbitrary. An 80 minute prop who makes 100 metres and 40 tackles won't win it if a winger gets two tries or if a half makes a 40-20.
The regular, steady players seldom get a look in over the flair players who might make a couple of breaks or a winning drop goal.

| It's amazing that George Carmont has hardly featured in the voting, but IMO has been one of our most consistent players (again) this season.
The flag idea is excellent. Come to the next meeting an put it to the flaggers union.  |
