Depends on the type of camera, I suspect you may be prevented shooting by stewards if you're camera looks too much like a press grade one, such as an SLR with telephoto lens. I have never tried so am far from an authority on the matter and YMMV.

I'd just take some pictures, if you're told to stop just say okay. They havn't got the power to take your camera off you.

It's a joke really, what harm are you doing taking pics? Everyone else is on cameraphones!
