Guys! Very excited about the game! Big RL fan!

You should also check out www.challengecuptickets.co.uk for getting a guaranteed ticket to the final! You pay a small booking fee and then when Wigan get through to the final you get a ticket at face value!

Worth a look - no?

Quote: Pie Eyed "Why bother?

Wembley will NEVER sell out for the CC Final.

I'd rather wait until we know whether or not we're in the final, then buy a ticket from the Wigan Ticket Office, at face value, to be sat with the rest of the Wigan fans.

This might be a good idea for other events, but I'm sorry - I just fail to see the point for the CC Final.

Plus, if we DON'T make the final, then the only person to gain from it is Todd, as only the fans of the 2 finalists get the tickets. The rest lose their "deposit" as I understand it from the FAQ's.'"

The CC final has always been sold out. But besides that, you save a lot of fuss - and get tickets right behind the sticks, which is fantastic! And the total price is no more than the face value ticket and I don't have to mess around at the Wigan ticket office: they are sent directly to my home.

Plus if you don't want to risk all your money up front for a ticket to a game that you don't want to see, then this is a great idea.

But it is an idea that Saints have been doing for their fans for a few seasons now. They called it the "what if? scheme" I think. They do it for free as well, if they get to the semi finals then they register their details with the St Helens club to lay claim to a ticket and if they get to Wembley the booking is processed. If they lose the semi it goes in the bin and the fan loses no money. This is a scheme that I would not be surprised to see the very savvy people now running Wigan copy. Even if they don't then as a season ticket holder I would be surprised if I was unable to secure a ticket from Wigan should we make it to the final.

Wembley capacity: 90,000

2009 attendance 76,560
2008 " 82,821
2007 " 84,241

Twickenham capacity 82,000

2006 att: 65,187

Prior to that, we almost filled Cardiff on two out three finals, but that only has a 74,500 capacity.

Before that, the last time the "old" Wembley was anywhere near full was in 1988.

It did, but we never filled it, consistently around the 77k mark IIRC.
