Quote andyed-wiganrl="andyed-wiganrl"tbf though he is right....you should always respect it whoever it is but i rememeber one a couple of years back for a physio's wife!!!! I mean come one.....Minutes silences should be for those within the club. I appreciate it is an aweful time for the family in question etc. but minutes silences HAVE to be for people in direct contact at the club, and it seems st helens dont do this.
The one last night was legitimate, but saints seem to have so many silences these days, in fact, I cant remember the last Saints Wigan game at knowsley road without a minutes silence. They'll be including silences for the death of fans, fans dogs, and anyone dieing in the vacinity of the ground next!'"
Hang on Andy
We as outsiders have no idea what the connection to the club is. For all we know she could have been a supporter for the last 50 years, or could do work in the community on behalf of saints.
For me RL is a real, true community sport like no other. There has to be no real connection with the club but with the community.
There could be people in the stands who know the person personally. For me that’s all that counts.
