| Break clauses in the lease are (as far as i know) options to the tenant rather than the Landlord....the landlord can only turf you out in the interim on the grounds of a fundamental breach of your Lease terms.....like trashing the place or persistently failing to come up with the rent etc...
Eventually someone will buy the Latics from Whelan, but they'll inherit the same obligations as Landlord.....they can't come in and start varying the terms of the deal.
Also someone said earlier that they'd heard that the our terms were very favourable......something I also have heard....in fact it is not in our interests to see the football club relegated (although that is bound to happen eventually) because under the deal it is they who have to stump up the lion's share of the running costs ....for as long as they have the Premiership cash rolling in....so Latics go down, our costs go up !
Last one on the catering/beer /pie sales....I don't know for sure but I think neither club get anything from those sales!......It is or was Central Catering who bought the rights to sell food and drink in the stadium....they pay Whelco a wad of cash for the rights (i.e. Whelan's personal back pocket) and what they make is theirs ...

You cant just stick tiers on top of stands, its not lego
Ive always wanted the JJB to have seats in the corners so its an enclosed stadium. Then all the atmosphere wouldnt escape out the corners. Never going to happen though as the end of the South Stand is all concrete, and Latics attendances dont warrant it.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Most modern stadia is built with the option to expand, I should imagine it would be in the corners first though.
Look at the artists impression of the JJB in Central Park Memories and it should of been done like that.

3632_1352982335.jpg Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.......
I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.
Radio 5 Live, Sat, April 14th, 2007,...Dave Whelan, "In Wigan, rugby will always be king"
'I was certain, positive, convinced, and yet..........unsure'
'It's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it'
Worry will not prevent destiny from unfolding.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3632.jpg |

No chance, we are going nowhere, we will not be leaving the DW/JJB Stadium for quite a while, if ever.
