We discussed this last night. There are many jobs/careers which have a performance related bonus, incentivising people to hit a target to increase their earnings. Leaving aside any Salary Cap issues, would the extra cash make the players and coaches more determined to win? Would it make them train harder, and more effective? Does earning flat money every week, regardless of league results put them in a comfort zone?
I can understand winning bonus' for academy and reserve lads, but for first team players?
Sorry if it sounds old Skool, but if EXTRA cash is fuel to put that extra effort in then I don't want them playing for the club and it's clear that money is the main factor that motivates them.
They play for contracts, that should be only financial motivation they need.
