York Knights Win Thriller Against London BroncosTwo sides in danger of slipping out of the play-off race met at the LNER Stadium as tenth placed York RLFC Knights took on a London Broncos in eleventh spot with both sides already four points adrift of the top six spots in the nine round old league table. Both sides have lost on their previous two items and neither side have registered a win since March, the Knights having to look as far back at two months for their last two league points, despite a minor cup run which will see them take on the Broncos again in a fortnights time. York were the favourites with the bookies and had been handicapped by twelve points on the coupon, but the Broncos have the propensity to spring a surprise when least expected. | Sounds an exciting game for spectators. Waine seems to make mistakes but is a real threat.
Bottom line we lost. Looks very tight down bottom of league. Newcastle may be in strife but wouldn’t be surprised if Barrow move up the table. We appear reliant on Swinton and/or Whitehaven doing badly. Swinton seem to have a few on loan. In a roundabout way we are pretty much where we were last season. We have more points but the teams around us are stronger. Again we are not having a good season. Barrow is a big game. F that up and we’re staring down the barrel.

| Good wins for Barrow and Swinton this weekend. I think we're staring down the barrel already.

| Anybody checked for betting scams? Last three league matches against York all finished in a 2 point defeat!
Looking at the results this weekend and I think lose at home to Barrow next week and London become "favourites" to join Newcastle in being relegated.

Basically I have t got a clue what we are up to. I think we’ll probably stay up and may finish where we did last year I await with interest the half term report from the Board.
Increasing crowds -Target attendance by 2024 - 5000. Currently at 750-800. This has proved to be a struggle. In retrospect moving at the same time as go8ng Part Time was a nonsense.(D-)
Going part time and getting lots of players interested and reaching a decent standard- appear to have given up entirely on heartland players. Our wage bill was quite large last year as we brought in loads to fill places in non existent Reserves Team, then even more when we realised L1 players are usually L1 standard. Basically we messed up as everyone told us at the time. (D)
Engaging with local community - popped around some local cafe’s with flyers. Once. Thinking about doing it again. (D)
Using the loan system shrewdly- no one seems to fancy it (C-)
Increase commercial other sources of income - will continue to bang Gold Lounge drum until the flock in. Have plans to get some sponsors next year. (E)
Fan engagement - weekly newsletter, functioning social media, fan zone, end of year meet and greet (C-)
Getting into Super League - ha,ha, ha (U)

Don’t tell them but I’m not sure Whitehaven are all that. But we are definitely down among the dead men. Again.

| It was a typical London performance, one poor half and one good. Albert had a good game today making some good mtrs. First half poor individual defence was the issue, last tackle kick options all wrong. 2nd half much much better, 2 incidents were the difference, Alex walker was out on the wing with macani sat in at fullback, got caught with a 40/20, then a fumbled kick off return which gave york ball back.
Overall a much better performance than last 2 games I have watched

| I'm currently in barcelona....fantastic city and they loved the bull on the pitch malarkey up the road.....alas, London have a differing idea of bull on the pitch and as I predicted, L1 awaits.
Barrow = must win game. If we lose I expect us to be relegated, evicted from plough lane and playing games at Richmond RFU club in L1 in 2024. If we win, we are maybe 3 wins away from playing championship rugby in 2024 at Rosslyn Park.
Both scenarios will include lobster and Hughes shuffling around blaming a dozen whiny internet fans

Frustrating on the defensive side, as I think our early opening efforts in defence have been generally solid this season. Still seems to be individual elements that are letting us down, particularly in tight affairs
Massive game Saturday

| Positives from Sunday, they seemed much more connected and playing as a team, best effort I have seen this year, well second half anyhow. Likely am gonna miss Saturday as London men's league, southern conference and London junior league all needing support but hoping for a win
