But what on God's earth are Salford apparently saying they voted abstain in error cos they didn't understand & wanted to change their vote or apparently Skolars abstaining full stop? If it's true Whitehaven didn't attend the meeting, well what can you say?

Clearly yes or no is a question some clubs really struggle with so no wonder the game is where it is.

Surely this is a good news story. Some RL clubs have engaged in incompetent behaviour beyond the bounds of credible parody and Broncos aren’t one of them! We are on the up.

My Latin somewhat rusty since Ecce Romani days but I suggest the new RL motto is ‘semper incompetens’. Tinpot isn’t in it. They should run a competition to see who can come up with a new sub Tinpot category. The prize an all expenses trip to Old Trafford ( the day before the Grand Final as it’s cheaper).

Currently I see us light years away from anything other than the third tier in terms of grading.
For us to achieve A status, we would need somewhere between 20 and 30 million invested over 10 years by a competent investor, but with us shackled to Hughes and his offspring by massive debt and with an average side, playing in an unsuitable stadium its not going to happen.
Better to outgrow a stadium like Trailfinders and move to a 5k arena rather then move with 900 fans to a 10k. Better to spend that extra money on a better squad. Better to stay and try and put down roots rather than move again.....Better to just realise that we are now a third tier side reliant on the few others in our bracket for enough wins to keep us up.
