| [url=https://londonbroncosrl.com/2022/08/17/broncos-launch-free-weekly-newsletter-and-you-can-sign-up-today/200 days after the seasons launch[/url....although I shouldn't be surprised.
Though it does ask the question "what the f()(K where we paying the Monkey for"?
From the club website:
Quote A free weekly newsletter has been launched by London Broncos to keep the club’s fanbase up to date with the latest news and special offers from the Cherry Red Records Stadium.
And this week’s edition is set to include a special one-off offer ahead of the 2023 season for subscribers!
Emailed to subscribers every Friday morning, the newsletter will summarise the latest news, results, fixtures, partnerships and special offers from Broncos HQ – ensuring fans can keep across all information in one easy-to-access space.
It will be produced and distributed by the Broncos’ PR and communications agency Fortitude Communications.
Mark Kemp, Head of Commercial at London Broncos, says the newsletter will support the club’s ongoing vision to broaden levels of engagement with all supporters and key partners.
“We have entered a new era at London Broncos with fresh possibilities and ambitions in line with our groundshare with AFC Wimbledon at the state-of-the-art Cherry Red Records Stadium,” said Mark.
“We have the potential to connect a new audience across the south-east to Rugby League. Providing clear and constant communications to our key target audiences will be a big part of ensuring we fulfil our short and long-term objectives.
“Our weekly newsletter will not only keep our core fanbase up to date with the very latest news and offers, but also those who sign-up and attend fixtures occasionally.
“Encouraging casual viewers to really buy into what we are trying to achieve is important if we are to take our matchday experience to the next level. The newsletter will support our commercial growth too and give back where possible to our valued sponsors and partners.”

Monkey told me, when when challenged over poor communication from the club.
"We have nothing to say to the fans, hence no communication"
I spoke to a professor of journalism about this, he said there is always something to say. You just have to work at it and make it interesting.

| That's quite some spin for a newsletter. Sort of amazing it needs the help of a comms agency when it simply compiles other content.

I also signed up but failed the qualifer question. It asked what is 13+2, I put Union team size, but for some reason it did not seem to like it.

| In this week's scintilating newsletter, 2 for 1 deals on Gold Lounge for 2023 season. Not sure I understand this fixation with bargain basement hospitality.

It's why we moved.....
....I am of the opinion that if we'd tried this hard at Ealing to sell a pie and a pint with a ticket, then monkey and lobster would have found another excuse for gates

Here’s my opinion piece for the newsletter. Let’s not bang on about the fxxxing Gold Lounge anymore. If take up is slow look at the product. Is it up to it. Access to a bar ....hmmmm.

.....this move was sold on the premise that we didn't get bang for our buck at Ealing. Nothing else was mentioned.....not training facilities, not location, nothing other than the pipe dream of SL barring us (didn't in 2019??) and corporates......and guess what, the uptake is as or worse than it was at Ealing and Loubser, Monkey and Hughes are left looking like fools.....absolute fools, but Hughes will NEVER ADMIT HE MADE AN ERROR.

| I understand that we were no longer welcome at Ealing, we returned in 2021 under sufferance, but 2022 at Trailfinders was not an option.

Because of the way the ground is set up eg all in one stand with corporate hidden out of sight in a higher and wholly separate tier it’s really difficult to get a sense of how well corporate is doing. My instinct is similar to yours. One positive from this weird and unsatisfying season is there are so many learning points. If we have recruited people who know their stuff we should be in a much better place next year. The downside is a lot of damage has been done this season with the way it started, match day experience, shambolic customer engagement/comms, playing squad etc so they have a lot of work to do but, as I’ve said before, Eccles has been able to get a decent standard of performance out of the squad and the social media stuff is now much more buzzy and of the standard so it can be done. Do I fancy getting a season ticket for next year? Hmmm, not sure. This massive gap in the season is a bit of a deal breaker for me and I’ve now missed two of our better performances because they took place smack dab in the middle of the peak holiday period. My ST got me to Widnes, Haven, Thunder- truly dreadful performances. York and Bradford- so,so to poor at best. Sheffield frighteningly bad and then excitingly good and Dewsbury and Workington decent, solid performances against slightly weaker sides. Value for money wise the argument is difficult to make.

That is a real shame. But not surprising.
Artificial surface meant no mid season relocation / cluster of away games on the trot, possibility of double or triple headers ( mens', womens', academy teams) on a regular basis, year on year gradual improvement in facilities. Being close to the new Crossrail / Liz line giving a better travel option for some of us, especially out East.
Oh well, Hughes knows best doesn't he? Doesn't he?????

Why would you get a season ticket when you know by July they will be offering tickets for less than £10 to get people in. The only way I would be persuaded to get a season ticket again would be at £150 max, considering how they have shafted ST holders last 2 seasons

He explained that we were moving to 1.Wimbledon to prepare for SL, 2. sell corporate hospitality and 3. build to 5,000 fans.
He also said that 4. it would seem at times like it wasn't working/going to plan.....
Well, he got one of them right.....although the word "seem" would be surplus to requirements.
From the blurb surrounding sponsorship in 2023 we are sticking with Wimbledon. I await a statement from the CEO or Chairman explaining the thought process here.....the only plus I can see is that there's a very good chance that NOBODY within 5 miles of the ground knows we are here and we can relaunch locally in 2023.
I still await an apology to lapsed, banned and abused fans who were subject to the alcoholic whims of a senior staff member in 2022.
To be fair to the new commercial guy, he seems to be trying to do everything by the numbers with the brochure of what's available up, the club shop no longer linked to the sweat shop in Bradford and a regular (if pub side image) email......but he will learn that it's a thankless task unless Hughes employs a marketing manager/agency and allocates budget......and I don't mean ing adverts in Metro in mid January.......
