Anyone have any knowledge if these have worked for other clubs?
How do the draws work? Buy a ticket for each one, or buy some at the start of the season and get entered in every draw?
It's all new to me.'"
The only thing I would say is from a purely mercenary point of view rather than altruistically helping the club, if it’s a draw before each game and you aren’t looking to plough money in week after week then logically buying now and entering the first one is likely to have the smallest chance of winning as it’s the longest period for people to buy tickets and the period that people are most likely to do so.
Not sure but if York’ s paid for Pauli Pauli and he must be on 15-20k at least unless he working down Lidl as well then they must have had a lot of takers. I think trinity and Fax also do it.
Me I’m just having a think about it- a bit discouraged by our signing antics at the moment

| Similar schemes are common in football, usually branded 12th Man, often a simple donation with no reward basis so credit to the club for offering the box to one donor. I know Dulwich Hamlet raised many thousands of pounds via such a scheme.
If the club are reading this I don't think I have seen an explicit statement the money will be ring fenced for players. I'm sure that's the intention, however experience of this sort of scheme tells me any mention of the scheme is best accompanied by a statement the money is ring fenced. It does make a difference to donation flows.

| The last three home gates at Dulwich Hamlet have been 3.334 - capacity crowd, 2,131 which was midweek and 3,045.
When the 12th Man started at Hamlet attendances averaged about 200.
The two people who masterminded the transformation both supported the Broncos and offered to walk the club through the methods used for free. Monkey Lover posted on this very form he couldn't see any point as one of them was a librarian by profession. Sadly he has now died so that source of advice has been lost to the club.
Fortunately the club did such a good job on their own...

Wow I did not know they had come on that much. I recollect them from the old Isthmian League playing against Enfield in the 80s. As you say crowds then were in low hundreds. Broncos seem to be going down the Enfield route of losing their ground and folding rather than the Dulwich route...sadly.

Last Saturday they had the third largest crowd in non league, behind Wrexham and Grimsby. Two clubs who have had many years in the football league. But Broncos had nothing to learn from them ...
To be fair I should say I believe Broncos have contacted Hamlet officials in the last year or so. Sadly Mishi died nearly two years ago so it's a bit too late to pick his brains.
Edited to say the lowest average league gate in my 30 years at Hamlet was 170. Off the top of my head that was 12 or 13 years ago. Stating that because our friend used to challenge me when I suggested talking to the DHFC folks, saying it took them x years. It did but they did it and without spending stupid money. I dread to think what has happened bro Broncos gates in the same timespan. Hamlet was driven with no money to invest on crowd growth initially, I can't think of any established UK sports team who have driven that gate increase without.serious investment (Manchester Storm Ice hockey did but they splashed the cash.)

Credit to them! the change they made from attendances of 200, to now, is amazing, and shows what can be done! Though never seen it happen a lot in RL!
