Even clubs like Hull are in serious financial difficulties, The RFL are sending out that many emails to try and sell Challenge Cup Final tickets, even Saints have opened there ticket allocation to anyone one time they would be like Gold! Wonder how many will be at Warrington tonight for the England friendly.



Is it worth spending money now to attract new followers to Trailfinders! when we are due to move to a modern new ground, that is the time to promote, we then need to attract families & younger people interested, first few matches must be good ticket packages.

It's embarrassing how many seem to be at Warrington for the England International, and on TV, we are a joke compared to RU!

Said it before, will say it again. The average RL fan wants to watch club rugby, the international game does not attract that much interest.

In union their are folk that hardly ever go to watch a club game but will be at twikkers every game to drink pink fizz.

I myself have no desire to attend International RL matches. I cannot say that I would go out of my way to watch one on TV either. Club games are what interest me.



With regard to Union Internationals. We have a customer who regularly takes his staff to Twickenham and they all get drunk. Not sure that they take much notice of the game, but as he say, " It is a good day out".

I was a member of Orrell RUFC in there hey days! John Carleton & Peter Williams England, being a member, you qualified for England tickets, I went 6 times, and what an experience it was! Only once have I had that experience at RL, Wembley 1961, Just a youngster with Mum, Dad and my much older brother 1961, it was so Hot, no roof on the stands then, and I sat on the steps more looking at the programme, did manage to see Tom Vollenhovens's try!

As I said earlier, it is not only our club! clubs like Hull are in dire straights with finance! and things are not going to get better with the reduction in Sky fees from next season, will clubs not in Super League get a penny? it has been run badly for far too long, under Nigel Wood! and he got a recent MBE lol, and The RFL invested money in a big hole in the ground in Bradford lol

Latest! It's expected a decision will be made next week, if The World Cup will be cancelled, claim players may not be able to travel? Wonder how many tickets have been sold?

Cancelling it might be less embarrassing than trying to convince people a RL World Cup has any value.

2021 was chosen for the RLWC there was not much in the way of major sporting events to compete with. Covid came along and pushed all last years events into 2021, so by the time the RLWC comes along people will be suffering sports fatigue.

Whether on not it is postponed I would say, will depend on what the cost would be to do so.
