| Just got back indoors from the game & felt I had to post my feelings on this forum.
(1) A good performance from the team & a well deserved win. It was nice to see us completing more sets than we have done recently.
(2) At last, the team realised that if you get the ball out to the left wing, "The Welsh Dragon" will make yardage or score a try.
(3) I can't be accused of "Sour Grapes" because we won the match but the Referee & Linesmen were awful today. Toulouse were allowed to high tackle & consistently encroach offside at play of the ball. If we tried to beat the 10 yards, we invariably got pinged by him.
All said and done, a pleasing result, let's hope we can back it up at Batley on Monday.

| Thought it was a good all round performance, except either side of half time when we stopped playing in anticipation of being awarded penalties and they played on to score a couple of tries.
I thought the young lads all did well. At last we put balls out wide for Rhys did what Rhys does well and scored well.
What was good, we played like a team for the first time in ages. Hendo must have some selection problems for Monday.
I too, thought the referee was awful.

| Good team performance in front of a decent crowd making some noise. Ref made some errors, for sure, but no worse than a 6/10 - there have been worse at TFSC this year.

| Have realised that Sammut can't try to win every game for us on his own, no matter how exciting he can be at times.
Didn't miss Purtell one jot as for once we played for each other/as a team.
Great to see the ball out to Rhys and scoring tries from the opportunities given like he did last season.
Not sure why Dixon was dropped (the Purtell effect?), but not enough ball out to KPP today even if eager enough. All things considered, he needs better chances to improve his game.
We can do with Junior's bulk, NRL experience aside, he is slowly learning the English Championship style and will be useful with a few more games under his belt at this level.
Lewis Foster had his best game as a loanee for us too. Surely his last week (4th) in London.
Pitts, Walker & Barthau were equal MoM for me.
Looking forward to seeing who is picked to play the Dogs on Monday.

| Agree with the above messages ref Lewis Foster, MOM nominees and sadly I agree about the referees standard. Ref should never have awarded the Toulouse try before half time. It was a major error on his part which fortunately didn't affect the outcome of the game. It was very clear the ball was knocked forward about two or three feet and our lads stopped chasing waiting for the whistle which never came and Toulouse scored. The ground was silent with disbelief as this try was awarded. LESSON play to the referees whistle and not the rules of the game regarding knock ons.

| Have to agree about Foster. When asked after the game about his future at the club, he stated that he did not know what was happening.
Would like to think we could hang on to him for another month at least.

| Agree with all of the above. I'd just like to add that I thought the lads showed great character to come back once they went behind.
As for Toulouse, I thought Wade Dooley did well for them, considering he must be older than me and has never played League before!

| Quote: "][Apart for a bizarre 10-15 minute spell either side of half time, this was a much better performance. We were sold defensively, didn't drop the ball/lose the ball as much and played some decent rugby. Nice to see Rhys get on scoreboard. Thought we overdid the short side, but otherwise much improved.
I know Mickey will disagree, but I thought the referee was poor, the penalty count was I suspect heavily against us, but for once I didn't think many were justified, and if they were Toulouse should have been penalised at least as often, Also fail to see how you can put a player on report and not penalise him?
Pleasing result, win at Batley and things will look better!/quote]
Posted on another thread, but worth repeating - agree about Foster, though all depends on Ackers, junior in for Monday, we need bulk away and at Batley.
More I reflect the worse the referee gets. He favoured Toulouse massively and some of his penalties against us were inexplicable.
Good win!

| Can't comment on a refs performance on a game I didn't see. But it's been mentioned a few times and it starts at the lowest level, play to the whistle. Players get told it at every game if the ref has not seen it then it hasn't happened. Standing waiting for a penalty is only ever going to end up one way.

| On report is purely that, it does not have to be a penalty. If the officials don't actually see what happened in an incident they don't guess or make it up, so cannot award a penalty. But can put it on report
