Quote: Dave Lister "Your 'predictions' are about on par with telling me what my best memories should and shouldn't be, as you were attempting to do on the VT. '"
You were the one that said the 18-44 hammering at The Hive was the best day in memory....note, you didn't say recent memory, but just memory! I remember many days at the Stoop where you seemed pretty damned happy!
Quote: Dave Lister "You have absolutely nothing to base these opinions on since you made this prediction before even seeing the team play. '"
I have addressed this in my earlier reply.....
Quote: Dave Lister "To add to this, you were thousands of miles away from The Hive on Saturday - take note of all those who had such a positive experience rather than making up nonsense about posters on this forum being happy with the low attendance and denouncing the whole thing yourself. Utterly pathetic.'"
In the context of your claim that I have nothing to base my predictions on, this is an irrelevant piece of window dressing that has no part in this conversation. For the record, the only thing that is utterly pathetic is the 1,246 attendance and those trying to justify it with tales of smiling bar staff.
Quote: Dave Lister "I think we will lose by 30+ points against Bradford. The team/squad isn't ready and I do not believe we will be fully competitive in any fixture for a month at least. '"
Good for you. That's the answer I was looking for. BTW, the season as a competitive entity and avoiding relegation is done and dusted by April 1st if we are sitting on nil points.
Quote: Dave Lister "I do not expect miracles - I am quite content with what is being attempted at present. I cannot do anything about it but I am delighted to be supporting a newly established side who have pride in the shirt. Having not been to a game last year, you really cannot comprehend the difference felt on Saturday, as has been noted by many posters on here. You can still support the club of course, but telling people how they should be feeling after their experience on Saturday when you weren't there yourself is embarrassing.'"
This sums it up perfectly...well done you
Those who attended the Salford game were both relieved and happy because it was better than last year, both in the venue and the attitude of the players who never gave up......CONVIENEINTLY FORGETTING THE EVENTS THAT LED TO LAST YEAR BEING SO FUCKING TERRIBLE AND THAT FACT THAT THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM ARE STILL IN ATTENDANCE.
BTW, I didn't tell anyone how they should feel I simply commented that in my opinion, being content with a 1,246 attendance shows how far the villains of the piece have dragged down our expectations.
