| If you were winding up the Broncos when would you do it? Well you would have to give the staff some notice but you would not want to pay them much beyond the end of the season. You would have to do well before the RLWC starts or you would be paying them for no reason. I suspect that if we are to be the bullet it will be in the next 3 weeks, long enough after Wembley but well before RLWC and that would give Fev more time to prepare.
The above of course applies if we are to be shunted to the Championship. Unless a big money man appear soon it sure looks like the end of SL in London for a while. As a 'committed' Bronco fan I have got use to the silence from the club, but it sure shows what priority we are!

| They are silent when things are going well and have always demonstrated a total disregard for the fans.
I would assumed with the challenge cup the RFL would have not wanted anything to take the limelight of that so if I was a betting man (and I am) I would expect something to come out about LB withdrawing from superleague, middle to late next week.

| Would suggest any announcement will be made after our last game.
If we remain an SL team next year, then it is too late to bring in any quality replacements for the players going (might get one or two). So I'd like to see a large number of our U19's brought into the first team....give them a go for a year in the top league, develop them and give us a great chance with a near fully southern born squad for the inevitable drop to the Championship in 2015.
Need to build a squad together and sort ourselves off the pitch before we should go back into SL.

| The problem is we don't know the Facts, it could be the RFL are stalling on the potential new grounds we are proposing, are the Top at Red Hall just willing to pull down the flag in London, and just then pay lip service to the clubs left to survive on their own, the game has enough problems without the south?

| That's certainly not what I'm hearing. If what I am hearing is true the RFL have bent over backwards to keep us around and in Superleague 2014. They have brokered a deal but it requires us to come up with a ground, and will apparently give us leeway re SL rules (within reason I suspect.) As of late last week I believe we had no ground to put forward. Clearly this may have changed at the meeting on Saturday, equally that meeting may have put us on the edge of extinction.

| Whenever it is, it's far too late to produce a side capable of being competitive in the Super League, which is the biggest problem considering the changes of 2015.

Apart from dishing up overpriced curry once a fortnight Gus has had 2 years to scout a ground.
What a goon.

| I honestly think there will be rumours and speculation, but if it's bad news then nothing will be announced until after the world cup. The RFL will want no negative stories prior, and the risk of upsetting the 1,000 Broncos fans with no news until December is better than the public embarrassment.
At that point if it is bad we'll hear whether we're playing at all, and which division if we are.

A few class players in key positions with a rotation of U19's/20's isn't beyond the realm of possibility.
But could they compete at SL level?
If they couldn't how long would it be before the fans turned on them!?
There isn't a 20/23's next year so there is every possibility this scenario may develope.
Your thoughts?

Fully agree. I do envisage us playing the youngsters - and I also see us getting battered on more than one occasion. Though that isn't any different to this year is it?
Would personally (and I know I'm probably in the minority) like to see the youngsters get a go at SL level for the year. Gives them a chance to prove themselves and if all goes wrong, we lose all the games, some might have stepped up and gained an understanding of what it takes at the top level..... or some might have impressed (become the new Sam Tomkins) and get themselves a contract with another side (not that we want to lose players).
Plus utilising U19/20 players will be a darn sight cheaper than buying in experienced journey-men that we know (from previous years) can't hack SL themselves. Would rather see youngsters from London/SE given a shot to make a mark than an old horse that is collecting a pension.
Those be my thoughts..

| Big difference to Clubb's remarks in that Express quote.
Dixon will be off if he has to whereas our "captain" wants to get the hell out of Dodge regardless.

| The problem with the Hive if that is where we are looking to is I believe legal restrictions in place with regard to the amount of professional sport that can be played at the ground and may be one hurdle to far.
