| It sounds like all our eggs are in the Hive basket and if we don't get permission to play Super League rugby there we might need to voluntarily drop down to a semi-professional level.
Thing is, a strict timetable and contingencies ought to have been put in place that would have given us a decision before now. Again, uncertainty strangles the life out of the club.

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| We have to make a decision quickly on our new ground, it has been delayed for far too long, but as I stated after last Friday's match, I was proud of the London born young players we had in the side, how many Sheffield born players did the Eagles have, they never come in for any stick!

cartoons/WB24.gif Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.:cartoons/WB24.gif |

| On ths basis of glass half full, you could take some positives out of that. Working towards a home for next year, you'd like to think that means there is a plan for next year.
If there is a strategy its a pity the club can't be bothered to share it with the players and anyone else for that matter.

| "It is important we nail it down as soon as possible. It has dragged on and there is a focus on getting that done but it is not as straightforward as everyone thinks."
It has been his #1 priority since the start of the ing season. A problem entirely of his own creation and still not resolved.

| What a nincompoop. He can't be serious with that pap, can he? Try promoting the Broncos instead of yourself.
"Those four areas have to be taken into consideration because then it is fair for everyone." You mean us, not everyone, correct?
How about just doing your job, Gus. You've had two years to find a ground. It sounds like its too hard for you.

| When Gus was appointed, I said I would give him time to try and get processes in place as well as to see what he could do about the number of fans at games. I believe IIRC that I said it should take him about 4 home games into his tenure for us to have an idea of his style of "management". We had a marrow win v the Welsh, followed by 2 narrow losses to Hudds and Hull, before the 4th home game v Castleford, which we drew.
By the time Castleford came calling, the guy and his HAND PICKED TEAM had reached for the panic button and were giving away tickets to the game.......they GAVE AWAY TICKETS TO ANYONE WHO WANTED THEM 4 MATCHES INTO THE SEASON.
I immediately pointed out my belief that he was struggling, way out of his depth and that he would drag the club down........fast forward to today and guess what?
The RFL either need to cut us loose or buy a majority stake-holding in us from David Hughes...they then need to re-negotiate a 3 year lease at the stoop, with the Landlords understanding that we will be looking elsewhere, but are open to staying if the next few years go well. They then need to thank Gus before calling the UK Border Agency and employ someone who has 60% of their remuneration based on performance into the position of Chief Executive Officer. The amount of money available to spend on players will be directly connected to the amount of money the club can generate.........Marketing and commercial activity will become as important, if not more than playing staff investment, with a 10 year plan in place, which is quantifiable, accountable, realistic and constantly revisited.
Failing this, I see nothing in the way of a future for the club in SL. Salfords owner is going to discover next year exactly what the expression "Rome wasn't built in a day" means.....he has bluster and bravado but very little in the way of a clear defined structure or strategic plan other than he want to control/own the ground and break the cap.....Warrington have built slowly....when I started following the Broncos I 2002 Wire averaged 6,270...Huddersfield in 2003 averaged 4,750, Wakefield 3,889, a number of what were mid table teams then have kicked on and grown their crowds, whilst London have dropped close to 50% in the same time.....
Thank you Mr Hughes, but enough is enough. Your failure to stand up to the RFL over the "neutral" challenge cup game and the CONTINUOUS FAILINGS of your CEO have pretty much left the club you're supposed to love at deaths door......thanks for the ride, but if you truly do want the game to grow in London, then hand the licence back to the RFL now....because if you do it after the season is over, then we are dead and buried!

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

| Every time this bloke opens his mouth I cringe. "oh, it's so hard trying to find a new ground" ; "oh, please don't chuck us out of Super League Mr Wood, it really is difficult down here you know". Meanwhile, he and Hughes have maneuvred us into a position where we fail on virtually all of the license criteria, we haven't a leg to stand on - and he's got the utter temerity to moan to the BBC about fairness?
Clown.

I thought he said ''we are looking at a few options''. The delay can only be in choosing which one in that case.
As someone who believes this is our last season in SL I dont think it is relevant.
With no contracts being renewed the club is going to require a lot of new signings for next season if they are to continue. We all know that any quality players up North wont move down here coz of the increased cost of living and family upheaval involved and the restrictions on overseas players we can sign - even if we can persuade them to come, means we are going to have a very poor team next season and are pretty certain to be in the relegated two.

| I'm coming to the conclusion that we won't have a ground for next season. The only "option" is probably a grovelling appeal to Quins to allow us to stay for one more year.

If it comes to that lets hope the Chump Executive has the decency to walk.
