You've picked a strange hotel....but, here goes (from memory)
about a 2km walk to the nearest Tube station, Hounslow West and from there, about 35 minutes to central London. Don't bother with Oysters, but instead, buy a travelcard which are about a tenner a day I believe).
On match day, the 110 bus goes from Hounslow Bus station to Twickenham...it takes about 20 minutes....Londons motley crew can be found in the william webb eliss "spoons" pub qwaffing anesthetic pre match.....
Food wise, Hounslow is where bend it like beckham was based mate......if you like curry, then you'll be spoilt for choice, but it was always a bit light on decent pubs IIRC. You might find yourself in central London for a night out....if you do, make sure you avail yourselves of a night Bus home....the 35 minute tube journey in is shortened by about 10 minutes on the way out, by bus drivers who I am sure are force fed 5 litres of red bull before their shifts....
enjoy the game.......
