| I was very impressed by this guy tonight, led by example and never gave up. Move to 13 could be inspired?

| I always though the problem with Clubb was that his decision-making was too slow to be a centre, where he had to make decisions about positioning in both defence and attack. In the middle, where the attackers have less room, and where his job is more of a battering ram, he looks much more effective. Good player tonight. Second best packman after Bryant, IMO.

| I rate Chubb, would like to see him with a good coach & some players around him that will inspire him.

| Badly missed in the centres though. JO'C too lightweight, and Howell seemingly unable to concentrate. Tony looks like he's taken the move as an opportunity to catch up on some eating.

Sort of agree. Clubb's move to 13 is perfect in terms of his defensive role but having him trundle up the middle is not the best use of him with ball in hand. He needs to be running wider.

Well at 13 his channel should be just inside the centres, so he can run wider, but on Sunday Broncos rarely went outside the centre, so he found himself barging up the middle like a prop (and did a decent job of it, I think). Dry grounds, more experience in that position and Gower increasing his control on the pitch will see him running wider, I think.
If I might be controversial, the real problem with the centres isn't that Clubb [iwasn't [/ithere, it's that Howells [iwas [/i! The bloke seems like a space cadet, sometimes.

| Howell has just entered year two of a two-year contract.
Powell couldn't cut him at the end of last year even if he had wanted to.

| We must keep improving the playing personnel if we are to challenge. Quality 13 on the pitch and quality 4 on the bench just like the top 4 clubs. We have moved forward this season and must keep the momentum going next by strengthening further.

Can we afford to write off another decent wage, not sure DH will want to do that and I think the club is still a little bit too nice to do things like that, esp now Mick Howell is on the staff full-time.

| We're wasting Hickey's wage at the moment, as he is being paid in full.

Yeah but this would be the club volunteering itself to pour money down the drain, rather than getting itself into a situation that forced us to pay a wage to a currently ineligible player.

| Howell needs a good season to repay the club for his ban. I'd have sacked him, gross misconduct.
