| Nice to see that we are getting 2 players who will be in the NRL Grand Final on Sunday. Can't think of that ever happening before for us. Anyone?
London, London, London. etc.

"My dad's Tongan and my mum is English. I've got a UK passport not many people know about. I can play for England, so I've got a lot of doors that can be opened."
Hopefully we can get him back over here and into a strong London side some day before he loses that razzle dazzle that Big Fel's got in his game.

| Think it was because he was young and on the fringes of the 1st team at Parra. Probably figured coming here and playing regularly would speed his development a bit.

| You see this is where English RL lags behind cricket. If he were a cricketer we'd have got him on the elite pathway long ago and fast-tracked him to the England team, just like all our saffers.

| Quite funny that the NRL Grand Final is overshadowing the so called 'Rugby' World Cup. Come on Warriors!

Is it actually though? Genuine question, is the media giving it the attention it deserves over there?

| It would be great if the warriors take the title away from the Australian NRL, I am listening to Alan Jones the next morning if it happens!!
The most important thing as coming from a Sydney perpective, RWC to Sydneysiders does not matter at the moment nor does it barely exist. It is the last thing mentioned on Fox Sports news and any other news channel. This is due to the arrogant pigheadedness of the Australian mindset (boy, these guys are s) believeing that the Irish were a third rate team, and this which was a massive blow to the ARU and thankfully Australia, and could not come at a worse time!!
In England, judging back the 2003 reaction, super league would bearly get a mention in the main stream press. And why would it? it is the Jonny show after all, the biggest show in town. Brutal, but true.

Its all AFL and NRL in the press, little about the Rugby WC. Interesting story today that Eric Watson owner of the Warriors may be selling up,he has been connected to us before as an investor/owner possibly and lives in London i believe?

Although less so for the Warriors, a team that does not always spend to cap in the NRL.

| The guy being likened to buying the Warriors has just sold one of his companies for $500million. So not exactly a bad guy to have around.
Would be insanely good news if Watson got involved here, alongside Hughes.

In Australia the NRL overshadows anything that rugby union does including the rugby world cup. A regular NRL match in Australia receives more interest and media attention then the any game of the rugby world cup. The NRL grand final as always was massive this year.
In New Zealand, Rugby Union is a more popular sport then Rugby League. Although Rugby League is the fastest growing sport in NZ. some NZ union personatily thinks it could one day take over from union. People thought the warriors success this year wouldn't be as good as it normally would be due to the rugby world cup but the warriors making the NRL grand final pushed the rugby world cup off front and back pages of newspapers and had local pubs switching the station off rugby world cup matches to the NRL finals series.
