| More intriguing, is the mention of getting new investors and a working on a move and a name change if it comes off.

| I like the interview but the negativity and concern towards the end of the article are a bit off putting.

If it's what I have heard it's f**king maddness (if it's true). Those people who bitch about getting to the Stoop will have heart attacks...Marylyn will be happy though
...and I for 1 hope it's not to where I have been told, but if it is then as I have said since I started following the team then forget everything else other than MARKETING.
If the club are going to move to a place with a rough poulation of 250k spread over 1300 Sq Miles with a stadium that holds less than 12k, then they will have 2.5 years to get it right....or they will be under real pressure to step down.

| Any move and name change would need to be facilitated by £500K investment.
Who's going to do that?

The only place I can think of that fits those criteria is the Kassam stadium in Oxford, I may be way off the Mark though.
(edit)
Had another thought could be Gillingham and the Priestfield stadium. I can't think of anywhere else that meets your criteria.

| To be honest don't know what to make of this. what would another move or change of name do to the junior setup that they have worked so hard to get up and running in and around that area of London.
Ok on a selfish point of view if it was say Gillingham (as mentioned by tedquinton), then great easy for me to get and less traveling could mean time to hang round after the game. But also cant help feel a move there would be the end of us and we be gone by the end of a year.
If it MK or even Oxford, then like others here that be it for me. it just be to far to travel to game day,(esp Oxford).
the only thing maybe going for Mk is the fact not much competition as their is in London (apart from one football team and sometimes Northampton Union side play there).. But you have to start from scratch with any junior setup yet again.

| Moving is one thing, but Gillingham? Jesus, that really would be the end of the club. How many Londoners would be able (or prepared) to travel down there for games? What about kids playing/training in the Academy sides? You can only really do it if you from SELondon, it's just too far for anyone else. And you can forget about any pretence of it being a London club, rahrah might get away with it but we wouldn't. Medway Dragons for ESL perhaps?
If the club is serious about leaving London then a better option would be chatting to Dacorum Council about the stadium they're planning in Hemel Hempstead. 6,000 capacity with an option to upgrade to 12,000. RL is well known in the town, and it's not too far from London. There are also some big companies based there.

| This all sounds hopeless! Club has to stay in London or it dies full stop. Kent Invicta etc etc, deeply depressing - people may hate the RU Club, but Harlequins are a brand which the club could have exploited better. I dont know about Letton Orient or some such maybe London Whatever RL, but not outside London or se are dead
