Why?? All the comments seem to be keep Wakey in and kick either us, Crusaders or Catalans out, why on earth would any of the three mentioned want to support something that would want to kick anyone out?
Keep wakey in if they meet the criteria, be there on merit not because you're near the M62 corridor...
And before you jump all over me I personally don't want you kicked out or Crusaders or Catalans, the game has to expand to survive.

Dicky Lewis gave a 'pretend warning' about your poor attendances last year, they're even worse now - what will the RFL do - nothing - they'll just go on about some 'bollox' that in a population of 8 million, a 'few' thousand kids play RL at school, all because of you lot.
You'll be in Super League forever, so don't worry about your paltry crowds, just looks bad in front of the tv cameras.

'expanding the game' isn't really working in Wales & London judging by attendances. London RL HAS BEING GOING FOR 30 YEARS NOW, think the first game Fulham v Wigan attracted over 10,000 fans, but it's just not working NOW is it. I know I've posted on your forum, but it's the RFL that annoy me.
I only want promotion/relegation, like we have in the 2 lower leagues (though Toulouse are still exempt from relegation - see it's not easy being a 'flat capper') If someone stays up 'on merit' than whatever crowds anyone gets, is rather irrelevant. Sorry about BEING personal, enjoyed our 'friendly' at the LSV.

Has it? We get next to no media coverage, some heartlands teams are still struggling for crowds and to build adequate stadiums, and our TV contract is inferior to Unions. Contrast this with the Guinness Premiership, huge crowds, national media coverage and a big tv contract. Or even with the NRL who are now negotiating a 1 billion TV contract that will make it the best rugby competition in the world, Brisbane Broncos are as much an expansion side as Harlequins are, thats not even taking into account Melbourne Storm, New Zealand Warriors and the soon to be included Perth Reds. Then again I guess thats all just a coincidence, if they had just stuck with Sydney I guess they would be getting a 1 billion dollar TV contract anyway?
Yes London RL have crowd troubles, but they, and other expansion sides, are the key to preventing RL in the UK being swamped by Union.

No it doesn't. It has got to expand to expand, that's all.
Too many Quins refer to the M62 corridor as some kind of negative. Maybe as fans we like a matchday experience, and you boys don't cut it. If you could get remotely near the matchday experience of any of the M62 clubs, I would support you, but you don't. |
