Let's see how many roll up for the game. 3,941 is the average since 2000 and since 2006 they have drawn 3,588.

Friday night games need to be scheduled at the seasons start, with accommodation, travel and other offers promoted to the visiting clubs fans THEN. We argue that Friday games impact on our ability to travel, but the away crew seem pretty clued up on the cheapest ways to get oop norf.....PP books snide client appointments for example.
If we want to regain our place as a great away day/weekend from the French or magic weekends, we need to promote the event. Book the bands early....list the other things going on over the weekend, do deals with local hotels on room rates etc....
If I was still in London, Friday night would be perfect....work until 5 (ish), train to TW2, game, beers, home on the bus.....but others would struggle getting home to Kent before midnight, so it would have to be trialed for maybe 3 games next year. Saints bring a few, as do Wigan and leeds with a fair few ex-pat fans (london based) rolling up. I would trial those 3 next year and maybe even market the events to the crims (although they seem to have an aversion to a 30 minute bus ride from their beloved Bush).....but as I said above, let's see how many roll up this week.

This could be intriguing. Who will mac be trying to impress?. The Bulls form is nearly as bad as ours. Last year they gave us a real tonking, I would not bet against it again. However they won't bring many so we should be able to out sing them and if we get something we may go some way to avoid the wooden spoon! It may be a arm wrestle of two bald men fighting over a comb!

I'll be happy with 2,500.

Friday nights would be great if we had a lot of local support but we don't.
A lot of our supporters travel in from far flung places such as Aldershot, Colchester and beyond (driving round London on a friday night will be a mare).

A few of our mob will be there but a few are put off by the Fri night KO.

Bet Quins Bull will be there though!

Normally like a game under the lights but can't make this one. Friday wouldn't normally be a problem for me for night games as I work in Central London and can get the train from Waterloo to Twickenham, could be more a a problem for the rest of my lot however. Be interesting to see what sort of crowd we draw, but reckon it could be one of our lowest this season. Hope I'm proved wrong.

As we have to try and get round the M25 on friday night for this game. The wife has already decided she dont want to go to see one. So i think i will wait until friday afternoon to make my mind (and hers of course. ). But i wont hold out much hope of getting there.

Can understand why the club are giving friday a go but as has been said a good deal of us
are not local to the Stoop and I must say I am not exactly looking forward to a crawl round the
M25 on a friday afternoon.

Still at least it will be worth it when we get there. Thats assuming we get there at all

I'm leaving from Maidstone at 4pm, fingers crossed it'll be OK...

London traffic bit strange on a Friday the rush hour seems to start at 2pm and by 6-30 m25 can be very quietish.

I’m fairly ambivalent about Friday games. If it helps pull a larger crowd great, but it has to be done regularly to discover whether that will work. It’s fine for me in the sense that I can get there from work and see the game OK and I’m not missing out on anything else, but it takes me well over an hour to get home and the game won’t finish until gone 9.30, so I’ll just go straight home afterwards. I prefer the afternoon game with a few (or a lot of) pints afterwards. I often do midweek evening football matches and it all seems a bit rushed with less time for socialising. As for the atmosphere of an evening game – it’s going to be broad daylight until well into the second half so I don’t really see that’s going to make a lot of difference.
