Can anyone recommend any nice pubs by the river? Twickers or Richmond or anywhere in easy distance to the Stoop.

A couple of school chums are coming to the game next Friday and we're making an afternoon of it.

Although I've see every home game, I never seem to make it past the WWE!

PS Nothing too arty farty though. My mates are good Sarf Larndan gels!

Start at the London Apprentice Brentford, Then town wharf Isleworth then white lion Richmond. Great walk takes you into mid Richmond and ps food good as well.

The White Swan is about 5 mins walk out of Twickenham. Nice spot on the river.

Hiya Dan.....Hope you are still upright by the time the game starts.....A pub right on the river and only about 100yds from the WWE is the Barmy Arms (which with that moniker should surely be us Quins fans official boozer) ...come out of the WWE and turn left and follow the path to the river...then there is the Eel Pie pub in Church St..which is the pedestrianised cobbled street .. and a good choice of restaurants, Indian,Tapas ,French........Wendy and I are always saying to Mr and Mrs Wirequin that we will have to introduce them to this side of Twickers as they to, have not strayed to far from the aforementioned WWE..and I,m sure that the Gob will back me up in saying that the Deli Durbar is an excellent curry house...

Not on the river, but the Ealing Beer Festival opens in Walpole Park on Wednesday and will be open for business on Friday. I'll be stopping off during the afternoon before getting down to the Stoop.
