But have you considered that Cooke may not want to up root and travel south, even for a few months.

Pauls ok just a bit firey. Has a family in the North, so probably even short term, not for him.

And apparently, half our wage bill is currently on the treatment table (PB), so we will be strapped for cash to pay AND accommodate him.

Was there an add out offering his services? or did wakey approach his club to ask if they would let him out on a loan spell?
There are much better players out there that we could have on loan if the will was there!! maybe the question should be why are we not trying to get them on loan!!! not just looking at players who have already done a deal

I think quite probably the problem could be that we dont have the money to get anyone down here on loan!!!

But don't we have some money available from Robinson and James salaries? I know its immaterial now but I wouldn't have minded Cooke, at least he can (or used to be able ) to guide a team around the pitch

I think Paul Cooke whilst a good player is trouble with a capital T.

If/when he comes I reckon he'll play at loose forward. In the short term he may play stand off depending if Jeffries is out with the injury he picked up against Huddersfield.

Too slow for a half back now, but a good footballing brain and a decent pair of hands. Carries a lot of baggage due to his alleged 'colourful' personal life, so a move away from Hull may do him good. We'll see.

No thanks, he typifies everything thats wrong with British RL. Ainscough and Cooper on the other hand would be great loan signings for a club struggling with a few injuries....
