In the "Bondi Beat" section of the new issue of "Rugby League World" magazine, they indicate that the NRL champions are expected to be in London by February 20th 2010, which they believe suggests another friendly for the NRL champs against us.

In the same magazine, Dave Hadfield writes about Quins RU's "Bloodgate" scandal and raises the possibility of problems with the Union club's relationship with ours. He suggests that if those in power at Quins RU are forced out of office, it will mean the departure of those who wanted Rugby League at The Stoop - which in turn could put at risk our future relationship with Harlequins.

With a £250k fine to be paid and further sponsorship revenue loses expected in the coming season, I believe that whoever is in charge at Harlequins FC will need to raise as much revenue as possible and that would be a more than valid reason to retain RL at The Stoop.

There was talk last year of this becoming an annual event. Good for us I think but our round 2 opponents (like Bradford this season) will probably complain. It would also mean us playing a pre-round 1 match in early February unless the snow intervenes again.

Thats a good thing, after the beginning of November, there is no RL on until the end of January, I'll be itching for it to come back, and we started this season very well, so the begining of the season should be looked forward to, all the way until the mid season international against france.
