| 4 families trvelling down Sunday morning for match & considering Sunday lunch in the Wetherspoons in Twickenham. Is it any good or does anyone have any better suggestions?
Also staying overnight at Travelodge Feltham - will it be as bad as Travelodge Wembley was this weekend?

| feltham travelodge is ok! as long as you remember its a travel lodge
There is a pub just outside on the corner, not the best but not the worst place togo ( think thats a weatherspoons as well)
Train station to twickers is about a 5 min walk

Never eaten in Twickenham 'Spoons (The William Webb Ellis) and tend to go in there after rather than before games before games, but it's an above average 'Spoons and feels fairly civilised and not too crowded. It's probably as good a place as any for a pub lunch as there are no pubs between the station and the ground, and as it sounds like there will be a lot of you it's a big pub with plenty of space. And at less then £2 a pint (for the ales anyway, not certain about lager etc.) in an area where you're lucky to get change from £3 in most pubs that's another advantage.

| William Webb Ellis' food is 'typical' 'Spoons food really.
The Cabbage Patch is very good for food. You may have to check but The Barmy Arms just down the road, on the river sometimes has a barbecue going during the day which goes down well and is a nice location too.

Its an "away" boozer so I imagine that will be on his agenda, The Cabbage Patch is a decent boozer and Listy doesn't like it because he has obviously been called a "Southern Softie" by a big Northern boy

| I've eaten in both and the food was fine, just the Cabbage Patch might be a bit dearer. When Huddersfield came down to play us the second time a lot of the Hudds fans were having sunday lunch in the William Webb Ellis.

Yes, its a great boozer if you enjoy £3.50 pints, a poor selection of ales with rude and unpleasant staff who accuse you of threatening their South African bar manager.
I didn't see any away fans in there at all when I was last in.

| You can get very good food in the ground itself. I've always felt the £8 lunch at the Jesters Bar is very good value.

| Anyone see that program World's Worst pie or whatever.
Some guy wanted to see how easy it is to con everyone into eating terrible cheap food. He failed as he was able to get a list ingredients from all who made cheap food bar Wetherspoons meaning he could never compare his awful pie (with plenty of connective tissue instead of proper meat etc) with theirs. mmmmm
