| The 19 man squad in full:
Tony Clubb, Ryan Esders, Matt Gafa, Luke Gale, Johnny Grayshon, Gareth Haggerty, Daniel Heckenberg, Ben Kaye, Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Chris Melling, Jamie O'Callaghan, Danny Orr, Chad Randall, Chad Robinson, Will Sharp, Karl Temata, Danny Ward, Jon Wells, Luke Williamson
So Esders comes straight into the 19.
Huddesfield's side looks like more or less their strongest side.

| Don't look to bad a 19. I expect this guy Esders will start off the bench. I'm wondering if Kaye in the 19 to maybe come off bench too,as noticed at the Wigan game Randall's leg was heavier bandaged.
One think is hope Mac dont start with Clubb in the centres like he did against Wigan.
We need a big game from Gafa this week, as everyone has said before how quiet he has been so far this season.

Not so.
Our strongest 17 would have Lolesi in the backs and Raleigh and Kirmond in the pack.

No. In this context more or less implies 'very close to' . With at least 3 1st picks missing it is not close to our strongest.
It would be equally ridiculous to suggest that without Dorn, Purdham and Howells your 17 will be very close to being its strongest.
Bring on the game between 2 'decimated' sides.

Dorn, Purdham and Howell are all key players for us though. I would hardly say that Raleigh and Kirmond are key players. First choice yes, but not as important as those were are missing.

You may not think that. Having seen every game this year I would differ.
I do not know how many times you have watched the Giants with and without those players. I would guess very few. I could be wrong.
Jammer is missing for us at centre. I would take him any day ahead of Howell.
Dorn is ordinary. Purdham, granted, is a quality player.
Raleigh's size and mobility are certainly missed when he is unavailable. And given that Kirmond plays SR in short spells he gives us some real strike on the edge, plenty of metres, good feet and a lot of tackle busts. We miss him and hope he will be back for the CC semi.

I don't dispute that missing Lolesi is a big blow for you. I would rate him up with Howell, not better though. Dorn is indeed ordinary and we won't miss him all that much but Purdham is the heart of our team and without him we are very poor indeed. I have seen Huddersfield 4-5 times this season, including against Quins twice, and neither of those players have stood out. They are fairly average in my eyes, steady players, not likely to have a huge impact themselves on the game. Their inclusion would not worry me, put it that way. Similar to Joe Mbu in many ways IMO.

| Raleigh is our most consistent player and when he plays well the team do. he gets through a lot of tackling and plays like an extra prop. We always do better in the forwards when he is playing.

Equating Howell with Jammer. And Raleigh and Kirmond to Mbu. Ho hum
I would not judge your players on your performances against us and recent tv peformances. If I did i would conclude LMS and Randell are SL makeweights - and surely that would be inaccurate.
Some guys tomorrow would not be playing if raleigh and Kirmond were fit. I hope these 'below average guys' do not let us down.

So its OK for you to get upset when I refer to a player as average based on TV appearances and 2 matches, yet you think its mad to compare Howell and "Jammer"?
You can't have seen Howell play very often. One of the best centres in SL this year.

If those players cannot get into the team because of 'fairly average' players then I should have written 'below fairly average' to be precise.

Upset? Always very immature to pretend you know the emotional state of a poster. You don't, live with it.
I was considering a few factors when looking at Howell /Jammer. I was probably influenced by Jammer winning 2 GFs with 2 different clubs and an international cap + many NRL games. Couldn't find much on Howell - but if he rocks your boat that is the main thing
Setting off now. Toodle pip.

A record not to dissimilar to Matt Kings the outstanding SL centre currently plying his trade at Warrington-Hmmmm
