| Given "his previous good disciplinary record " and that "no serious injury was caused" I can't help but feel that 3 games is pretty harsh.
Then again, after Catalans last year I'm surprised they didn't hand out further bans to other players who were not involved. |

As I recall, it was Howell who thumped Croker initially in the Catalans debacle, so he's probably got more of a record than anyone else in the Quins side. Shade lucky perhaps, but I'm pretty happy about it as a key player for us.

As I recall, Croker thumped Howell off the ball after Quins had been awarded a penalty; Howell retaliated, all hell broke loose, and when the ref had finally calmed everything down it was Catalans who go the penalty, not us, and this cost us the match. (And Croker didn't get any ban at all.) |

Maybe I'm getting some names mixed up but I'm certain the Catalans player who got involved with Howell right at the start of the incident wasn't the player who got the one match ban.
It's a farce how some oppossing players get away scot free in incidents against us. Who could forget Martin Aspinwall's kung fu kick on Jon Wells five years ago? |
