| Anyone know what it is? Looked on the SL and RFL sites but nothing there........
Where do we need to finish to be sure of at least the first game being at the stoop?

So, to answer the original question, 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th get two bites at the cherry, but 5th and 6th are assured of at least 1 home play-off game.

should have two pools of four two home games one away for the top two seeds in each group.
All teams who get into the playoffs get at least one home game rather than one and done and the whole thing lasts five weeks as it did before.
Semis could/should be on the same day in the same ground (villa or something)
Its easy to follow, fair and gives more teams more exposure plus brings the game to new areas.

| Keep it simple, eh? I am surprised that the RFL is not offering grants to students of the game who could understand it. We need a top four finish IMO.

| or why dont they simplify it
Saints play who they want, and get a bye to week 3 if they win or lose, then they choose who they play and get a bye to the final
and then lose to leeds

| Or better still, scrap the Magic weekend and declare whoever is top of the table after 26 rounds (i.e. each team plays each other home & away) the champions!

Agreed, but it won't happen. It would enable the season to start a month later so no games would be messed about by February weather.

Agree they should scrap the pointless Magic weekend but I like the concept of the playoffs and can't see any negatives. The only possible team that can feel badly towards the playoffs is the team that finishes top but doesn't win the GF. For the team that finishes 4th for example but doesn't get anywhere in the playoffs, their progress is identical whether there are any playoffs or not - they will finish 4th, and will build in an identical way towards next season.

| And how exciting is the end of the Premier League? Not at all? Who cares that Man Utd won the league? The Man Utd fans I knew hardly seemed to care, it was a forgone conclusion for ages.

Man Utd were in the same boat as Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City. It was still completely dull.

The players would all leave for another league - like the union boys seem to be doing with France - and ours to union.

Was he not refering to the salary cap in RL? I was refering to the fact that premiership teams are in the same boat too with what is realistically the same "constraints".
