I contacted the club with regard to the latest fiascos over the Catalans game, away supporters in the same stand, finding people in our seats, and the failure of the club to contact all those who came for free v Wakey to get reduced tickets for the Celtic Crusaders match.

Whilst the reply was a personal one to my concerns, I do think it is worth sharing one or two things which the club stated:

"The seating arrangements are being categorized match by match as you have probably noticed and moving some away fans behind the sticks when necessary. I hope you can bear with us for the remaining of this year whereby we shall take on board all comments for the planning of next year."

"Saturday was not a good day I agree. Lots of unhappy fans and poor attendance."

"Hopefully, we can help alleviate some of the displeasure the club is receiving by putting on a coach with match tickets to Warrington for all who have been affected by Catalans."

"The Season Ticket bring a friend offer will be introduced again for Leeds. There were some hiccups last time but no excuse to why the ticket office could not contact those who requested free tickets. Please accept our apologies and hopefully this will run smoothly going forward."

So, there we have it.

I for one applaud the honesty of the comments.

Remember folks all long journeys start with small steps.

Very shoddy IMO not even getting the basics right. Must do better.

The bit I do not get is why they will get it right until NEXT season

1. Seating arrangements. Regardless of where we stick the away fans, ST holders seats should not be re-sold and the stewards should be made to enforce the ticketing/seating. I sat in a lovely seat on Saturday, not the one I paid for, but when in rome as they say.
2. Low crowd and unhappy fans? No 5hit sherlock


3. Bus to Wire and free entry. As I mentioned on Saturday, what are the odds with wires recent run of form that we could be looking at a Friday night switch for the game?
4. The season ticket bring a friend offer didn't run smoothly? WTF. How hard can it be to data enter, load a mailmerge in word, print, fold and post 200 or 300 letters?

Sorry, honest as the response was, it again highlights how much work needs to be done in TW2.

Barney, I know exactly what you mean about the bring a friend offer. It really p***** off the two guests I brought to the Wakey game who absolutely loved the Quins experience (even if it was a crap match) and were looking forward to returning, and then were annoyed that they didn't get the promised new info from the club. So not only are we managing to alienate our existing supporters, but potential new ones as well. It's great, isn't it?

And back in the real world....

Now, let me put the put the cat among the pigeons by suggesting that 'next time' we have a mid-week Fans Forum it's in the 'back-bar' of The Sun in Richmond.

Also think Gutterfax and a couple of other 'regulars' need to submit a series of questions that they feel/think that need to be answered by the Club's back office team etc etc

For my part am willing to IM my suggested possible questions for this 'event' as a matter of course. However, first we need a date, the sooner the better, for this and all the Fan Forum's till end of the year.

Let's get 'proactive' and start 'kicking' ideas and help at the Club. It's not about the Team, that is in the excellent hands of Mac and his coaches, or new or upcoming players etc but about 'really movinmg the Quins RL Club forward, building bigger crowds and building a much better rapport between the Club and it's hardcore/loyal supporters.
