We are missing Ward and Haggerty and Robinson for a few more weeks, so you have to also wonder if picked up any more injuries during training, or Macs just getting in cover just incase of picking more up in coming week or two, then we have guy onboard whos been getting use to guys and way we play and of course getting a bit more fitter for SL. Shame Mac didnt think it wasnt worth giving Thomas ago, have heard on here that a few people rate him abit.

I suppose all will be revealed when the squads are announced today, but Mac seems to imply on the official website that all is well with the players after their short break. Apparently they have all come back fit and well, but no mention as to existing injuries Haggarty, Ward, Robinson or new injuries McCarthy-Scarsbrook !!!

If Louie is injured then getting another prop in to come of the bench has to be a good idea with some tough matches coming up, it is also a chance to have a look at a young English prop for next year if we need to recruit due to the overseas quota. Thompson might also like what he sees down here with us and that could be a bonus for us if he has potential as he is only 22.

This does beg the question why Widnes are letting him come on loan? If he's going well for them why would they do that?

Never thought of it like that, maybe we have been keeping an eye on his progress and when he was asked by Widnes would he like a spell with us he jumped at the chance, it is a no loose situation for him.
Also, you have to remember he had a spell at St Helens(only a few games off the bench admittedly) and maybe he believes he has some unfinished business in super league and Widnes are still more than two years away from having any chance of offering him another Super league chance.
Lets hope he is good, as it sounds from what Mac has said that he will be getting game time over the next month.

sunbed sam is as big as david mills but like mills he lacks the wherewithal to be able to break a tackle, i for one am not sorry to see him go as he has been very disappointing since signing for widnes.

Do recall that in the most recent post game interview Mac said 'something' about Louie M-S having injured his wrist and could have broken it.......might add know Mac does not like to 'post' info in hurt players......
