Setanta are cutting their NRL games down to 1 a week instead of the 2 or3 they can show. They advertise a minimum of 2 games a week for subscribers. They are doing this for the next 2 months. Apparently they explained to a Wigan fan that they were covering extra Magners Rugby Union games. I have sent a strongly worded email threatening to cancel my subscription if the NRL games are not reinstated. I can see from the (in my experience, very unreliable TV listings) that the Friday game's going AWOL, but I can't see how a 10:30 a.m. Friday kick off is going to interfere with Magners League programming.

They must have signed up on an x games per week contract surely, so not showing them must be not only pointless, but a waste of money. Perhaps I'll ask Chris Warren on Staurday.

Think it might be better to complain to the NRL and on the way ask them what was the 'deal'......2 games plus the 'footy' show or one game and the 'footy' show. Also how long does the NRL/'Paddy'Sport deal last

Might add that I note that this Friday they are showing a AFL game and again on Sat/Sun 2x more live games.

I dropped 'Paddy' Sport after the end of the 'College' football season...as was told they were 'cutting' down on NRL games.

Anyway am now subscribing to 'Oz' Sport which enables me to get 'every' NRL game on my PC!! SO boo, boo, to Paddy Sport

What compounds this is the number of times they repeat games. I reckon they must be showing the Eels v Raiders game about 8 times. Can't we have 4 repeats of 2 games instead?

exactly... the one game doesnt need to be repeated that many times, plus it was a very ordinary game this morning until the 50th minute.

Yes, I was there last night and it was dull as ditchwater until the end (and hardly any atmosphere either). I reckon Quins could beat both of those sides

Arrogant Aussie here... both teams are average, but Quins wouldnt stand a chance against them. I'm sure guys like Howell, Gafa and Robinson would privately agree with this.

apols for dragging this one back from the depths, but does anyone else get their Setanta coverage through BT or Freeview?

I can only get coverage from midday to 3am and since they've started to only show NRL games at 9am, I can't pick them up. I only subscribed for this coverage, so all in all, it's becoming a waste of money......

The games shown live are in the a.m., usually 8:30-9:30 (they have been on at 04:30 before though).
They always repeat them, usually two or three times minimum - often on the day after in the evening, and regularly Mon/Tues.

Check the website for the repeat times - Saturday's game was on today for example at 17:00 and is on again tomorrow at 20:00, and Wednesday at 12:00 (all on Setanta Sports 2)
