I think against Wigan there wa one point when the Quins supporters got on his back for offside for tow tacles in succesion. On the first he ignored it but on the second - after the species raised it to another decibel - he caved in. Deffo one the supporters have got to try to influence to get the share of the penalties we don't get from the refs coz of our laid back vocal attitude.

Against Wigan I thought he was very lenient with their laying-on in the tackle. Every bloody tackle there were three of their players in there and they took an eternity to release the man and for the third one to get onside. I thought Monsieur Alibert was very consistent and generally had a better than average game, it was just our misfortune he didn't clamp down harder on this particular aspect.

For the off sides Briers was constantly in front of him along with the majority of the team!

I thought M Alibert had a reasonable game. I get the sense that a more lenient ruling about laying on has gone out from Cummings. Quins suffered more than Wire from that this pm.

That game was so one-sided there wasn't much scope for a referee to have any undue influence, but so far I've been reasonably impressed by Alibert's ability to keep control without making himself the centre of attention.

Once again though, there doesn't seem to be a very even distribution of ref's taking charge a particular club's games. We've had the same one for both away games and the same one for both home games!

He lets the game flow thats for sure. How many penalties were there yesterday? 10 max I would have thought.

I think he needs to tidy up a little on his hand signals. He gave one penalty to Wire and didnt indicate what it was for.

I like him as a ref.
