mmm....and there is the crux of it!
The RFL paid for the marketing for the Manly Game and reaped the financial benefit. Now, if the club (who are still relying on the assistance of the RFL in some key areas) do not see the money, time and effort spent on Manly as well spent, we may as well give up now.
IF we had 6,000 there, then that's a minimum of £90,000 in ticket revenue. I doubt we would have seen more than 2,000 without the marketing, so we gained £60,000 in gate receipts for whatever we spent on marketing. This does not take into account the money taken over the bar, but my group of 4 had 5 drinks each, so if we take 50% of this as an average, then that's £8 a pop....or another £56,000 on the bars....Can you see where this is going?
As for the CEO.....I believe that we have been far too picky, or have just misunderstood what is required. The club is understaffed in the back office and whilst I applaud the community team and the playing and coaching staff, the back office needs addressing as a matter of urgency.
Still Mr Hughes is a hero and long may that continue.
