I know it is difficult when you get trounced to judge a game BUT the Giants scored every single time we got a chance. We were clinical either picking up on your mistakes, a bit of luck or some indavidual solo tries.

You played like we did against Hull but we punished you more.

Huddersfield were very professional today, very patient and took each chance when it was presented.

The past two weeks we have been not been able to control the ball at key times, and we have conceeded far too many penalties, today we changed that and reaped the benefit.

Thaler let a lot go for both sides, but was, ultimately, consistant and even for both teams.

basically we were utter poop today and Giants were very strong up front and we got out muscled and then having won the arm wrestle they proceeded to stuff us.

Highlights of the day (few and far between) a forty twenty (we probably knocked on 2 plays later), Chris Mellings great catch in the second half and texting from the depressed mini bus to radio Leeds (we will try and send them a photo of the mini bus shaped cake)!

just reading posts from the Giants supporters - usual gloat can be forgiven but to say the ref didn't have some dodgy calls is just wrong. How and why should [iwe[/i be penalised when they knocked on in front of the line I just do not know. Thaler should go back to ref school!!! He's a total failure.

I think if you read the posts properely then you would not have made your post.

Everything i have read makes points about the ref missing a whole host of things by both sides.
In fact one posts asks if he was not playing offside, forward passes, lying on or knock ons. The comment however relates to both teams. What thaler did do was be FAIR to both teams. he just did not want to blow his whistle for anything which i think was a good thing

If you're talking about the incident where Louie tried to force a goalline dropout he dragged the bloke back after the tackle had been completed with the ball grounded in front of the line - fair decision. I was however a bit bewildered by Thaler's strange addiction to signalling an extra set of tackles whenever the ball was kicked at an opponent's legs. It almost became a nervous twitch and this cost us the second try after a cagey opening (we were only 0-4 behind after around 20 minutes) paving the way for the decisive second quarter of the match in which we were totally battered, conceding four tries and barely getting out of our own half. That's what tends to happen against the best sides though - something contentious goes against you and they seize you by the throat and don't let go.

We didn't play well, there were too many unforced errors, but we were up against a very impressive side who were clinical and ruthless and showed a fair amount of flair in unpicking our defence. I'm assuming Leeds and Saints will continue their recent domination of the top two places in the table, but I reckon Huddersfield have as good a chance as anyone else of achieving a top 4 finish.
