Quote: North London Gooner "Translation and link please'" Quite clear, doesn't need translation. A source/link would be nice though.
And the bar in Wigan is a bit of an issue.
Story, headed by an even worse than usual pun, in one of Murdoch's comics today. Don't have a sub so can only see the headline.

It's in an interview with him in League Express.

| From League Express:
FORMER St Helens star Sean Long has held talks with London Broncos about becoming their coach for next season if the club can secure its future.
Long, 37, who made 15 Great Britain appearances, has held talks with current coach Tony Rea, who many believe will take over a managerial role at the club if it stays afloat and its current chief executive Gus Mackay departs, as seems likely.
"I got a call off Tony last week and he asked me if I'd be interested," Long told League Express.
"Obviously I said yes. I then had an interview with him and attended two training sessions last week. I'm actually going back there to coach the boys this week.
"They are all really good lads. There are not many of them, only about eleven at the moment, but they are all really keen and they're a great bunch of lads." When asked to comment on the future of the club, Long said: "I think we are 95 per cent sure we are going to get through.
"We're hoping to join with Bamet football club, moving from south-west to north London. Hopefully that will go through in the next couple of days.
"I don't think Tony would have got me down, to be fair, if he wasn't certain of the future. I think it is a good sign they've got me down. Hopefully we'll get the nod this week and I'll start looking for somewhere to live." Last week the Broncos were granted another ten-day extension prior entering administration and they have held talks with Barnet FC Chairman Tony Kleanthous about moving to The Hive, which is now Bamet FC's home ground in north London.
Current owner David Hughes will continue to own the club during its first year at its new home.
League Express understands there is only one relatively minor point still waiting to be ironed out before the Broncos can announce that their future has been secured for the new season.
And several other clubs, with Wigan leading the way, are likely to offer a series of loan deals to the Broncos once an announcement can be made about its future.

| Interesting.
''join with Bamet football club''?
"Current owner David Hughes will continue to own the club during its first year at its new home" Seems to imply the move is permanent.
only one relatively minor point still waiting to be ironed out - that sounds promising.
I just hope IL is involved on a permanent owner basis regardles of where we play.

| So Sean Long - who can't stay out of trouble - to be the new coach, and Tony Rea - who did such a great job last time in the role - to be the new CEO. What could possibly go wrong?
Is this a fresh start or merely delaying the inevitable?

Im not bothered about Longy as long he teaches them systems on how to attack the line. We've overlooked loads of good players over the years because of 'offield' issues and where has it got us. 'Fair play awards'. We are fighting for our survival and Longy has proved he can coach. TR hasnt imo.
TR as ceo is probably for the 1st year when DH is the owner and who pays his wages. After that a proper CEO will be appointed. Maybe that women at the RFL who everyone raves about?

| Sorry, but if the purse strings are still held by the same people how the does anyone expect anything to change? We have moved and failed 4 times and now (if reports are correct) we are moving into a ground that the immediate residents resent and therefore will have to work extremely hard to get any "local" buy in with regard to new fans.
I pray that either Ian Lenagan or even the RFL have a stake in the "new" beginning because I fear that 2014 will be done on a budget and for the last 18 years the first thing to get overlooked is the marketing and promotion.
The last time I heard anything about DH continuing with investment was that it would be at a "reduced level" so I sincerely hope that he has a partner who understands that sticking posts on the ground isn't a marketing policy.
Hate to come across all negative, but I really see little to be happy about in this "story" regarding the hive, loan players and Sean long being our head coach. Anyone remember the hope and expectation when we were heading into the 2006 season? Compare it to now and tell me how the current situation is anything other than a ing fiasco!

Well, it looks like Gus is finally going to be shunted aside.
Or are you secretly going to miss him?

Hughes is only in charge of the purse strings.
If Long can keep his nose clean long enough (big if admittedly) then things might even start to pick up.
