I have a feeling Boafo was on a two. I can see Macani staying and Basset could do a job elsewhere but I’d guess saying in London unless our offer is a Mickey take (which it may well be) is the best option as opposed to Bradford, Swinton. I think we’ll keep Lovell. The others will be kids and Davies although I suspect Walker may well stay. Williams I can see moving on, ditto Adebiyi. Basically we appear to be running down the team- very odd way to do business.

And it’s not as if we’ve got Skolars players ( L1 level) anyway.
Perhaps some of Bassett’s former teammates should bring their boots to games next season……….

I suspect that will be the plan….when we get around to doing any planning for next year….any at all. Sigh.

I suspect, depending on the circumstances, it’s considered poor form to say you’re off until season’s end. I suspect we’ll get a flurry of announcements next week. Wouldn’t be surprised to hear Kershaw to Hull KR next week and Parata to retire but it’s all guess work.

He’s certainly had his moments- his tackling on Zak Hardaker in the recent game against Leigh for one.

The significant upturn in the quality of our performances was mirrored by a significant upturn in his performances. (Those early doors pony offload attempts are a thing of the past) He’s finished the season as one of our very best players and could do a job in another SL team but my guess is it’s homeward bound.

My take on that- informed by no knowledge at all- was that he was doing so much at the start of the season because of all the kids/ loanees. Often we held on for the 20m he started the game with then the wheels fell off. Felt like Kennedy was the only proper size in our pack until we got players back and I guess he was then taken on less and looked better for it?

Parata’s retirement now confirmed. A good player for us. Stood up when our team was falling to pieces under Coleman. All the best to him.

Daniel Hindmarsh released by Cas. Would go well in Championship. A good bellweather on our club and next season of we can sign him...

Can't see we will sign anyone unless Hughes either sells or gives away the club or as has happened before he changes his mind.

For those of you who have watched Oli regularly (and certainly a lot more than me) over the last couple of years, what kind of player are we getting at Wire? Does he have international potential in a Top 4 set up do you think?

He's dedicated. He is keen to learn. He likes a challenge. What you'll have is a player who wants to be the best version of himself. Thoroughly professional. A real clubman.

Yes that’s my assessment too. He sensible, determined and low maintenance. He works hard and wants to learn. Didn’t make a fuss when dropped to 18 for the MPG which must have been a disappointment. Has clearly developed this year although I think his kicking could improve. I think it’s a big ask to get in first team but won’t be for the want to trying or application.

He's also young and won't be playing behind a beaten pack every week... I think he'll be a success. His goalkicking is awful, bless him, but that won't be an issue for Wire I don't think?
