GF is always banging on about lemmings but with the all Gus love currently doing the rounds I'd say lunatics is a more appropriate description for the My Club Right or Wrong Brigade.

I do hope this wasn't aimed at me! FYI I'm 86 and attended my first game at Wembley in 1935. Can you tell me who played that day without the use of Google? Were you one of the forty odd thousand in the crowd? Did you go and watch Acton and Willesden that year, or indeed Streatham and Mitcham? Did Sydney Parkes receive the amount of criticism you have given Gus, warranted or not, after all Sydney only managed to get a couple of thousand interested in the game, well short of what he needed to get the club going.

The point I'm making: Rugby league is going through difficult times. I've seen it flourish I've seen it struggle. Amongst other things what it needs is support and people to get behind clubs. There are enough people trying to knock us without it coming from within. You're entitled to your opinion, you've made it more than enough now but please 'lay off' and let other people enjoy talking about a club and game they are passionate about, you are in danger of turning this board into a bored.

I was "GOING ON" in the forum thread...now I am "GOING ON" here in my own thread.....meanwhile, these 86 years old posters and watchers who felt strongly enough to comment about me are nowhere else to be seen on this forum....not to wish Sean long well, not to comment on where they think we will finish, nor a mention of the Salford game and getting tickets, not the roll call for Widnes and not even to defend the club from the comments by Jon Clarke saying we aren't needed......no, they simply popped in to jump on a populist bandwagon. Personally, I don't miss them now they've ed off back to whatever rocks they reside under.

The really worrying thing is how many on here and of the 75 at the forums will applaud the club at the end of the season as we hurtle towards financial obscurity and the lower leagues for at least trying

As for tickets I have posted to ask about them in the past and depending on the rugby and ground I may get a membership. I'm really a supporter of rugby and not the supporter of a club as such. Although I still keep my leeds season ticket upto date to help keep to a place where I have had so many fond memories.

As for Salford, I'll be there as long as my free bus pass can take me there.

My thoughts on London. If rugby league can pick up a few of these youngsters that populate this fine city, and the catchment must be massive, it can only be a good thing. I hope you succeed and I hope you get people on board. To help keep these prospective fans and lurkers like myself, keep boards positive, witty and informative. should i need to post again i will, until then you can find me under my rock.

I live in Barnet, not far from Underhill actually, I can tell you Barnet to Aylesbury is a damn site easier to get to than The Stoop. Not necessarily on paper (or google) but I've been to both places a lot in my car and the drive to Aylesbury has always been a far more pleasant drive and always offers less problems.

Gus intended the Aylesbury Effect all along.

Rounding up at least 4 extra fans is a masterstroke for him.

My comments regarding Aylesbury and the journey times from there to the stoop or the hive seem to be taking a precedence over the other important facts surrounding the new venue, such as coffee only costing £1.80 as opposed to £2.50 at the stoop, match day tickets for £17 being cheaper than soccer and that fact that someone has remembered the facebook password, so they can ask for marketing advice and what song we all like to hear when the team run out


Just to clarify, I am not aware exactly where the poster for Aylesbury lives, but according to google, (this is an observation, not travel advice) the 17 minutes journey time saved must have been the deal breaker. Coupled with the offer of a £17 ticket and a £1.80 coffee....I'd be stunned if Chiltern Railways weren't laying on extra trains next weekend
