I actually won such a bet a few years back in 2011. I predicted, much to the annoyance of our Oker cousins who used to populate (some would say pollute) the NRL forum that we'd get 200k+ for round 1 of the NRL....not one of them paid up, so I donated $250 anyway. He dint offer me a bet. He hounded me for an unfair bet.......given I simply conveyed my opinion and didn't say " I bet the three pro teams will win all their games against the other 9" his offer and subsequent hounding have done little other than point to him having a gambling problem. Others have chipped in......as I say, its a bit early for panto season.

I've been reading these forums for a while now and I have no issue with you at all. Sometimes it's good to know the stats etc. so we can see what the club need to improve on and how we measure up to previous years et al.

My one point is that if someone gives you a bit of grief or doesn't like a post because it relates to marketing (and is off thread) can you just accept that is their opinion and let it rest?

There is no need to remove yourself from the boards/threads, just keep on topic and don't engage in petty point scoring. That way everyone is happy.

Anyway, as I said, I have no problem with you.... I just think it solves a whole lot if we just get over it all.

We're all Broncos fans, we all have and are entitled to an opinion......and a fans forum is where it should be aired. Lets just all accept that and stop going off thread with silly disputes.

Oh and if I get grief for posting this from anyone, then guess what? I'll just let it go... that's life.

All the best everyone.....So to get back on thread, I think London should get into the top 2 of the league... will struggle in the Middle 8, but won't be ashamed by any batterings... although we'll play at a lower level this year, a winning run will build confidence (a huge part of what we missed last year) and could help us massively against SL teams in a one off game when it matters.

One thing that we all have forgotten and yep I know it will be a new thread but we will have a whole new raft of match officials to shout at this season and blame for every decision that does not go our way, oh and ignore when the decision goes the way we want.

If you are allocated Joe Cobb as a ref, you need to be aware that he sometimes plays a practical joke and sends his son out onto the field instead of himself - you can easily tell, as his son only looks about 19 years old. The correct procedure in this instance is for the players to leave the pitch and refuse to return until the proper ref arrives, even if Cobb jnr threatens the team with forfeiting the game.
